Position Overview: As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in securing projects through Sales, Estimating, and Design within the warehouse storage industry.

Company Background: Join a reputable regional contractor known for its strong track record and loyal customer base, setting you up for success in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the design, estimation, and bidding processes for storage, racking, and mezzanine projects, collaborating with general contractors and direct commercial/retail clients.
  • Develop leads and generate quotations to meet sales objectives.
  • Conduct site surveys to create accurate estimates utilizing AutoCAD and Excel.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Surveying facilities to deliver tailored technical solutions and quotations to clients.
  • Generating leads and scheduling meetings to discuss warehousing solutions.
  • Providing a structured weekly and monthly sales plan to project sales figures.

Training and Transition: You will have the opportunity to work alongside a retiring colleague, ensuring a comprehensive training and handover process.

Qualifications: To excel as a Technical Sales Consultant, you should possess:

  • 3-5+ years of client-facing experience in a technical sales capacity.
  • A background in engineering, materials handling, or the storage sector.
  • An Apprenticeship, HNC, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • A self-motivated, proactive, and career-oriented mindset.
  • A valid UK Driving License.

Compensation: As a Technical Sales Consultant, you can expect an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of £70K+, with a competitive base salary ranging from £35K to £45K, plus a car allowance or company vehicle.

Additional Benefits:

  • Car or allowance approximately £500 per month.
  • Fuel card available for both options.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays.

  • 3% pension contribution.
