Job Summary:

Spencer - Richardson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead our client's finance team in a market-leading construction firm. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, managing budgets, and providing strategic guidance to support business growth.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional with a strong commercial background and a proven track record of success in leading high-performing finance teams. As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Finance Team: You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of management accountants and other finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to excel in their roles.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: You will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Financial Governance: You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, and that financial controls are in place to prevent errors and irregularities.
  • Strategic Planning: You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Finance Background: You will have a strong commercial finance background, with a proven track record of success in leading finance teams and driving financial performance.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified: You will be qualified with a recognized accounting body, such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
  • Team Leadership: You will have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: You will have a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to provide strategic guidance to support business growth.
