About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Survey Engineer to join our team at Acteon Group Ltd. As a key member of our marine technology team, you will be responsible for mobilizing, operating, and maintaining survey and positioning equipment on various vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of surveyors and engineers to deliver offshore projects in the North Sea and worldwide.
  • Process and analyze survey data to produce accurate as-built charts and final reports.
  • Develop and maintain engineer reports for vessel mobilizations.
  • Contribute to the development of in-house survey procedures and software.
  • Design and construct new survey equipment, test and refine equipment, and develop software solutions.
  • Mobilize and operate positioning equipment, including DGPS receivers, Gyro's, USBL systems, and IT systems.
Requirements
  • Hold a HNC/HND/BSC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Have a solid understanding of electrical/electronic systems used in offshore/subsea environments.
  • Be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, processes, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Experience in vessel and ROV mobilizations, installation of positioning and inspection sensors.
  • Knowledge of surface/subsea positioning, acoustic communications, and photogrammetry.
  • Offshore experience in positioning and inspection sensors.
