Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Survey Engineer to take on an exciting role in the offshore sector. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in working on various vessels, including MODUs, AHVs, and FPSOs.

Role Responsibilities

As a Survey Engineer, you will be engaged in a range of Oil and Gas projects both in the North Sea and globally. Your primary duties will include:

  • Generating engineering reports for vessel mobilizations.
  • Contributing to the development of proprietary survey procedures and software.
  • Constructing new survey equipment and conducting bench tests on equipment and software.
  • Mobilizing various positioning equipment, such as DGPS receivers, gyroscopes, USBL systems, and IT systems.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant qualification such as HNC/HND/BSc in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A solid understanding of electrical and electronic systems utilized in offshore and subsea environments.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with vessel and ROV mobilizations, as well as the installation of positioning and inspection sensors.
  • Preferably, experience in surface and subsea positioning, acoustic communications, and photogrammetry.
  • Prior offshore experience with positioning and inspection sensors.
