Position Overview

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Senior Resilience Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective functioning of the Authority's governance and oversight mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Resilience Coordinator, you will:

1. **Provide High-Quality Support**: Deliver exceptional clerking assistance to the Authority, ensuring that meetings and documentation for key decision-making bodies are organized and managed to the highest standards. This includes:
- Managing work schedules
- Preparing reports and agendas
- Drafting accurate meeting records
- Supporting scrutiny initiatives in line with established policies.

2. **Advisory Role**: Offer timely procedural and business management guidance to chairs, members, and senior officials, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory obligations regarding committee processes and timelines.

3. **Relationship Management**: Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with Assembly Members, GLA officers, and partner organizations. This involves:
- Ensuring all relevant stakeholders are well-informed on key issues prior to meetings
- Providing early warnings of potential issues
- Coordinating and monitoring actions taken to implement committee decisions.

4. **Team Leadership**: Oversee members of the Committee Services Team and associated staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

5. **Governance Framework Development**: Contribute to the creation and management of the Authority's governance framework, ensuring adherence to GLA policies and quality management systems.

Performance Management

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Setting and monitoring challenging performance objectives aligned with GLA priorities.
- Addressing performance issues proactively to maintain team morale.
- Promoting a positive team culture that values diversity and inclusion.

Planning and Organization

Effective planning and organization are crucial. You will be expected to:

- Anticipate needs and manage time and priorities efficiently.
