About the Role

The University of Northampton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Guidance Coordinator to join our Financial Guidance Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance and support to students and staff on student finance and funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and allocate university support funds to students in need
  • Develop and maintain accurate records through the use of spreadsheets
  • Provide information, support, and guidance to applicants and current students on student funding options
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of student finance and funding to provide timely and accurate information to students and staff
  • Support the team with promotional events and University Open/Discovery days

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of the Higher Education sector, particularly in student finance and statutory support. You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with excellent written and communication skills to convey complex information to students and staff.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) and/or equivalent experience in an advice, guidance, or counselling role
