Position Overview

This role presents an exciting opportunity to become part of the Ophthalmology team at East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be required to work across multiple locations, ensuring seamless service delivery.

This position involves varied shift patterns, including early and late shifts, as well as occasional weekend coverage.

The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator role encompasses responsibilities within the Appointments, Waiting List Management, and Front Desk teams.

Candidates should be comfortable interacting with the public in both in-person and telephonic settings.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, managing incoming calls, and providing front desk support for clinics.

Duties also involve processing clinic transactions, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient department operations.

Identify and report any concerns regarding clinic availability to management, proactively addressing future needs to meet service demands.

Verify and update patient demographic information in relevant systems.

Monitor IT systems for potential duplicate entries or related referrals and take corrective actions as necessary.

Utilize the Patient Administration System (PAS) and appointment booking software to manage referrals, support patient choices, and schedule appointments.
