We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Booth Welsh Ltd. As a Senior Electrical Supervisor - HV SAP, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical projects.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical work on site, ensuring that all activities meet industry standards, regulations, and company policies. This will involve:
- Electrical Work Coordination: Supervising and coordinating all electrical activities on site, ensuring they meet industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Safety Protocols: Enforcing strict safety protocols, particularly around isolations and energising circuits, to protect everyone on site.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with the project management team, external contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Site Leadership: Leading by example in health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) management, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and management system requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Using your deep understanding of electrical systems to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance, and ensure optimal system performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all electrical operations and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Educational Background: HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience as a site electrical supervisor within construction or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience as an active Appointed Person.
- Safety Certifications: Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent, plus a valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS, or CCNSG card.
- HV Operational Safety: Trained with a recognised body in HV operational safety.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience as a LoTo (Lockout/Tagout) coordinator.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills in HSEQ management, with a deep understanding of relevant legal and management system requirements.
