Project Quality Engineer Job Description

The Project Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance in project deliverables. This role requires collaboration with all departments to achieve project-specific quality requirements, reporting directly to the Head of Quality on all project-related quality matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective quality plans, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Project Quality Plans (PQPs).
  2. Manage project non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventive actions using 8D/5Why methodology.
  3. Direct client interface for all quality matters, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement effective quality management systems.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  1. Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, and Quality Management qualification advantageous.
  2. CSWIP 3.0/3.1 Weld Inspector Qualification required.
  3. PCN/ASNT Level II Qualification (DPI, MPI, UT) advantageous.
  4. NACE Level II Qualification advantageous.
  5. ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Audit Qualification advantageous.
  6. Sound understanding of fabrication/machining drawings to support product verification and inspection requirements.
  7. Knowledge of fabrication, inspection, welding, NDT, coating processes.
  8. Proven experience as a Project Quality Engineer in a project-based environment.
  9. Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  10. Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, APQP is advantageous.
  11. Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry or sector of the project.
  12. Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  13. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  14. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  15. Ability and willingness to travel globally as required for project-related activities.
  16. Full driving license and passport.
