East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Child Home Safety Advisor. In this role, you will play a vital part in reducing accident and fire risks for children and their families in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the commissioned service, receiving referrals, booking appointments, and providing advice on safety equipment installation.
- Develop interventions to protect children from accidental injury in the home through project development, implementation, and collaboration with relevant partners.
- Offer prevention advice on fire and other safety matters, including water, road, and health-related safety, to educate those you interact with.
- Manage the contract to achieve agreed performance indicators, complete monthly reports, and attend quarterly meetings with commissioners.
Requirements:
- GCSE level or equivalent education.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide a high standard of client-focused service.
- Current UK driving license and some knowledge or experience of working with vulnerable groups.
- Tact, patience, and courtesy when interacting with families.
