We are seeking a skilled Mobile Caretaker to join our Communal Services Team in Central and West London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping external areas, removing litter, and cleaning internal spaces.
- Report and follow up on communal repairs, ensuring prompt attention to any issues.
- Inspect play equipment regularly and report any damage or breakages to ensure safety.
- Participate in site inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide advice and signpost residents to other services, reporting any support needs to the Housing Services Team.
- Represent the Estate Services team and Octavia Housing in a positive and professional manner.
- Ensure all health and safety practices are followed, adhering to Octavia's policies and procedures.
- Work flexibly across multiple sites as required.
This role is suitable for individuals with a background in cleaning, caretaking, or building management. You should have a sound knowledge of health and safety practices, including COSHH and Manual Handling. You will be able to deal with resident concerns and complaints, while liaising with contractors.
- Able to work on-call out of hours and deal with emergencies as required.
- Able to manage and prioritize your own work effectively.
- Ability to carry out basic DIY/maintenance tasks.
- Able to perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £13.22.
