About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive HGV Mechanic to join our team at Ethiebeaton Workshop in the Fife and Tayside Region. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a varied fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers, adhering to high standards of quality and safety
  • Conduct daily inspections and housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and organized workshop environment
  • Participate in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Attend breakdowns on site or at the roadside, prioritizing the safety of our vehicles and personnel
Requirements
  • City and Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering
  • Experience in a mechanical role, preferably in the HGV industry
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
  • A valid UK driving license
