Maine Group: Steel Fabrication and Assembly Opportunities

We are seeking skilled welders and fabricators to join our team at Maine Group, a renowned specialist in steel fabrication, surface finishing, and assembly. With 20 positions available, we offer a range of exciting opportunities for those with the skills and experience we need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate a variety of assembly types to specification, working from fabrication or engineering drawings
  • Carry out quality inspections, identify defects, and take appropriate action to rectify them
  • Meet production targets while maximising efficiency
  • Ensure the safe and controlled movement of production parts
  • Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement ideas
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and measuring tools
  • 2+ years relevant experience fabricating in an engineering/construction environment
  • Demonstrate understanding of fabrication and use of jigs
  • Previous experience working in a range of material thicknesses
  • Demonstrate understanding of weld plant and weld parameters
  • Previous experience using industry standard hand tools
  • Experience of working on own initiative and acting to resolve any issues impacting upon performance
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety engineering/construction environment
