Commissioning and Partnerships Manager

Job Summary:
The Commissioning and Partnerships Manager will play a key role in shaping the Ministry of Justice's commissioning strategy, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify service needs, review existing services, and develop innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the development of high-quality, value-for-money services that meet the needs of People on Probation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, management, and implementation of commissioning across the full range of services or need areas, managing activities across the full commissioning cycle to deliver regional priorities.
- Contribute to creating and setting strategy, working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage service needs for specific commissioning plans to align with regional, national, and wider community safety and criminal justice priorities.
- Implement commissioning plans across the full range of services which meet the diverse needs of People on Probation, are financially robust, offer value-for-money, incorporate innovative approaches, and build on best practice.
- Lead and manage teams to deliver the agreed commissioning strategy, priorities, and objectives for the region, including recruitment, induction, and training of staff.
Requirements:
- Experience of commissioning and/or recommissioning services, including assessing need, reviewing services, and developing service specifications.
- Strong leadership and innovation skills, with the ability to demonstrate guidance and direction for the implementation of the regional commissioning strategy.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Working Arrangements:
The Ministry of Justice offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working. Some roles will not be suitable for Hybrid Working.
