Job Summary:
The Commissioning and Partnerships Manager will play a key role in shaping the Ministry of Justice's commissioning strategy, working closely with operational and contract managers, commercial colleagues, policy leads, external partners, and service users to identify service needs, review existing services, and develop innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commissioning plans across the full range of services, aligning with regional, national, and community safety priorities.
- Lead the development of service specifications, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of People on Probation and offer value-for-money.
- Manage teams to deliver the agreed commissioning strategy, priorities, and objectives, including recruitment, induction, and training of staff.
- Establish and lead cross-regional and multi-agency project groups to support service development, including at a national level.
- Ensure all Commissioning and Partnerships activity includes and conforms to equalities regulations, policies, and processes.
Requirements:
- Experience of commissioning and/or recommissioning services, including assessing need, reviewing services, and developing service specifications.
- Strong leadership and innovation skills, with the ability to guide and direct the implementation of the regional commissioning strategy.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and lead teams, including recruitment, induction, and training of staff.
Working Arrangements:
The Ministry of Justice offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working. Some roles will not be suitable for Hybrid Working.
