This position is open to candidates across the UK, with travel requirements to various locations on a regular basis.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Employment Tax Specialist to become a part of a prominent FTSE listed organization within their Employment Tax division. This opportunity is ideal for newly qualified professionals eager to gain experience in a global setting or for seasoned experts ready to make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

In this essential position, you will be acknowledged as a specialist in all facets of UK Employment Tax. Reporting directly to the Head of Employment Tax, you will collaborate closely with a team of tax experts, as well as HR and finance departments. Your knowledge will be crucial in developing effective tax reporting systems and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

  • Address intricate UK Employment Tax challenges.
  • Perform internal assessments to pinpoint and reduce potential tax liabilities.
  • Offer expert advice on tax consequences for significant corporate initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of UK tax submissions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and address inquiries.
  • Oversee and alleviate tax risks across the organization.
  • Keep abreast of developments in UK Employment Tax regulations.
  • Update and refine internal tax policies and documentation.
  • Communicate tax changes and their implications to relevant parties.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in UK Employment Tax, preferably from accounting firms or large corporate entities.
  • A professional qualification (ATT, CTA, ACA) is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and persuasion abilities, capable of conveying complex tax information to non-experts.
  • Self-driven and able to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, which may include overnight stays.

Additional Insights

  • Familiarity with expatriate tax matters is beneficial but not mandatory.
