About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reporting and Compliance Manager to join our Water Resources team at South West Water. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the reporting and compliance function, ensuring that we deliver high-quality reports and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the reporting and compliance team to produce high-quality reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement robust processes for data collection and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of internal and regulatory reports.
  • Provide critical inputs to other teams and act as the centre of excellence for reporting and compliance.
  • Lead the team to produce an AMP wide reporting and assurance plan, highlighting the procurement timescale for critical supply chain activities.
  • Develop the content and critical messaging to executive, board, and regulators, challenging technical experts through the review of actual reporting to ensure alignment with strategy and consistency of messaging.
  • Take a leading role in internal auditing and identifying areas of improvement within reporting and the associated compliance process.
  • Implement and enforce robust processes for data collection and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of internal and regulatory reports.
  • Continuously review and assure function deliverables, ensuring that all reporting activities adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines set forth by regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and proactively adapt reporting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving requirements.
Requirements
  • Dynamic professional with a background in compliance management in a regulated industry.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and confident to act when needed.
  • Statistics/Business/Finance/Law/Economics/Science/Environmental-related degree.
  • Track record of successfully managing compliance audits, investigations, or regulatory inquiries and experience in liaising with regulatory authorities, industry groups, or other external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of water resources standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Highly organized with the ability to plan, track, deliver, and evaluate work to meet defined deadlines, adapt to challenges, and build strong relationships with external regulators, stakeholders, and internal teams at all levels.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of circa £52,000 to £57,000.
