Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Lawyer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will provide strategic, high-level legal advice to our clients and support the provision of legal solutions in relevant areas of legal work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal expertise in procurement and related areas, contributing to the delivery of a portfolio of high-quality, solution-focused legal work.
  • Supervise junior members of the team, including trainees and support staff.
  • Have personal responsibility for a caseload of legal work and act as subject expert.
  • Notify high-risk matters to senior lawyers and provide support to other teams as required.
  • Support strategic projects across multi-functional teams and ensure innovative and commercial solutions are adopted.
  • Carry out advocacy on own caseload and produce or comment upon reports for various meetings or decision-making processes.
  • Work some evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays to meet service requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of local government powers and duties and at least one of the following areas of law: civil litigation, procurement & contract, planning, development.
  • Procurement and related areas.
  • A solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive holding a practicing certificate.
