Job Overview

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our Cambridge Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine checks and inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
  • Support the induction of new team members and provide training as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Home Manager, teams, and residents to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency situations outside of regular working hours.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role.
  • Basic tools and a full driving license for use in the UK.
  • Ability to travel to other homes in the region for projects or emergencies.
  • Basic computer knowledge and excellent customer service skills.
  • Enhanced DBS (Criminal Records Check) clearance.
