Job OverviewWe're transforming the way procurement works at Asda. As a Procurement Programme Manager, you'll be at the heart of decision-making and the forefront of our transformation journey.
Our growing procurement team manages over £2.5 billion of indirect/goods not for resale spend, and is on a journey to become a best-in-class function. We're looking for a skilled professional to join our team and help us drive efficiency, innovation, and cost savings.
Your Role
- Category team - You'll lead end-to-end sourcing activity, set category strategy, and influence stakeholders to deliver cost transformation activity.
- Strategic Projects / Agile team – You'll lead major business investments, executive priorities, and cost transformation programmes.
- Programme – You'll help deliver our cost and cash programme, develop expertise across categories, build the long-term roadmap, and leverage data and analytics.
- Transformation – You'll help deliver the overall procurement transformation, including embedding new ways of working within the procurement team and the ASDA business.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead our cost optimisation strategy and collaborative planning process with senior stakeholders.
- Lead our cost and cash programme, leveraging data and analytics in the Centre of Excellence.
- Review and provide insights on E2E team activity.
- Develop and embed the new procurement operating model.
- Influence and collaborate with stakeholders to support transformation initiatives and maintain a competitive cost base.
Your Qualifications
- Project/programme management experience in a commercial/finance setting.
- Experience in Procurement/Category Management is desirable.
- Adept at balancing and anticipating the needs of various stakeholders.
- Experience in influencing senior levels within a large organisation.
- Agile and adaptable to support business needs in a dynamic transformation environment.
