Assistant Site Manager Job Description

MC Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will assist the site manager in operating a landfill site, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure site operations meet regulatory requirements, including PPC/Waste Management licensing and Health & Safety at Work Act.
  • Liaise with surveyors to ensure accurate setting out of pre-settlement contours.
  • Assist the weighbridge with queries and resolve problems by communicating with internal departments.
  • Investigate complaints and inform relevant customers/local authorities of outcomes.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents.
  • Ensure weighbridge operations comply with company procedures.
  • Assist with financial recording, budget management, and receipt of capital and purchase orders.
  • Regularly check site operations to confirm service delivery and goods receipt.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Yellow Plant and equipment.
  • Understanding of associated plant and vehicles used on site.
  • Good understanding of financial requirements, including budgets and P&Ls.
  • Proven ability to manage/supervise a team.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
