We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to pioneering projects that shape the future of energy and infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing medium/high voltage power systems, using industry-recognized software for analysis and validation. You'll also draft technical reports, mentor junior team members, and drive improvements in project delivery methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, and specifications using relevant technical software.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, drawings, schematics, and other design documents across different stages of project lifecycles.
  • Model complex networks and perform steady state studies (load-flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash), dynamic/transient simulation, and harmonic analysis to validate and verify developed design.
  • Define, refine, and lead delivery of specific work packages assigned by the project lead, while coordinating input/workstreams from other disciplines as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and clients in a professional manner within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.
  • Participate and lead (where required) client and project meetings.
  • Identify and develop improvements in project delivery methodologies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Power Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in an Electrical Engineering role within the power systems field, preferably in consultancy or an OEM/equipment vendor environment, delivering grid substation or renewable projects.
  • Proven ability to produce design documentation such as schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, specifications, and project reports.
  • HV Plant Design (FEED/Detailed).
  • Proficiency with power systems analysis software (e.g., DIgSILENT Power Factory, ETAP, or SKM-PTW).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or equivalent design tools is advantageous.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python (or similar) is beneficial.
