Role Overview:

The Evening Care Assistant will be instrumental in providing daily care and support to young individuals in our semi-independent living arrangements.

This role entails assisting young people with their personal requirements, fostering their independence, and ensuring a secure, welcoming, and positive living atmosphere.

The Evening Care Assistant will collaborate closely with young individuals, their families, and the support team to provide high-quality care and assistance services.


Daily Living Assistance:

Aid young individuals with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, household maintenance, laundry, and shopping, encouraging their independence and life skills.


  • Emotional Support: Offer emotional and social assistance to young individuals, nurturing a positive and trusting relationship. Motivate young people to participate in social activities and community engagement.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Oversee the health and wellbeing of young individuals, administering prescribed medication and ensuring attendance at medical appointments. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Safeguarding: Implement safeguarding policies and procedures to protect young individuals from abuse or harm. Report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with young individuals, their families, and other staff members. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the formulation of individual care plans.
  • Crisis Management: Respond appropriately to emergencies and challenging situations, providing support and guidance to young individuals as necessary.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in continuous training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

A relevant qualification in social care, health, or a related discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) is desirable but not mandatory.


  • Experience: Prior experience in a care or support role, particularly with young individuals, is preferred but not essential. Comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young individuals.
  • Basic understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in supported living care.
  • A valid UK driving license and the ability to travel as required is desirable. Competitive salary and benefits package.
