Job Overview
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a skilled Pediatric Dietitian to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is a new post funded to develop a service with the Adferiad team, focusing on supporting children with Long Covid, post-viral, and fatiguing conditions, chronic pain, and other similar conditions.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including dietetics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and Paediatrician, to provide high-quality assessment and management of patients. They will have close working relationships with the Paediatric Dietetic team based in Morriston Hospital and will be responsible for autonomously managing their caseload.
Key Requirements
- BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent qualification
- HCPC Registered
- Post-registration training in relevant area
Desirable Criteria
- Student Clinical Educators Course
- Recognised management/leadership qualification
Essential Criteria
- Experience of working as a Specialist Dietitian in Nutrition and Dietetics within a specialist area
- Experience of a high level of specialist knowledge of service delivery in various settings
- Experience of supervising/mentoring staff
- Experience of audit and quality improvement methodology
Aptitude and Abilities
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Able to work on own initiative in a professional manner under pressure

- Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance
