A prominent SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School Group is on the lookout for a passionate and committed Educational Science Facilitator to become a vital part of the permanent team at an independent special school in Westbury. The ideal candidate will take charge of providing exceptional Science education to students, nurturing a passion for the subject, and tailoring teaching strategies to accommodate the unique requirements of each learner. This role demands a dynamic and compassionate professional who can motivate and inspire students, aiding them in attaining both academic success and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging and tailored Science lessons for students with SEMH needs.
- Evaluate and track student progress, offering consistent feedback and assistance.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes the emotional and social growth of all students.
- Engage in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Effectively communicate with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Maintain precise records and reports regarding student performance and progress.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with students possessing SEMH needs is highly preferred.
- Strong grasp of the National Curriculum and the ability to modify it to suit individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and supporting students with special educational needs.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
