About the Role

We are seeking a talented Junior Web Developer to join our dynamic digital team at EPLS Design. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality web development solutions for our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, self-taught coder, or someone looking to transition into a career in web development. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of exciting projects, collaborating with our experienced senior developers and digital experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks across the digital team, including website support and maintenance, full-stack development, and collaborative project work.
  • Work closely with our team to develop websites and digital solutions for clients, from simple landing pages to bespoke WordPress-powered websites.
  • Contribute to building custom blocks for WordPress using PHP and React, and develop in-house solutions and innovations.
  • Set up and manage WordPress sites from scratch, including server, domain, installation, and content population.
Requirements
  • Basic experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6).
  • Some experience with PHP and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with the WordPress CMS and its plugin ecosystem.
  • An understanding of how back-end and front-end development work together.
  • Experience with graphic design software.
  • Knowledge of AJAX, asynchronous request handling, and custom WordPress development.
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating them with WordPress.
