Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic and personal success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with complex needs, including behaviour, SEND, mental health, social and emotional needs, to ensure they can thrive in mainstream education.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including delivering modified support curricula and working with small groups.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress.
Requirements:
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with a strong understanding of curriculum content.
  • Experience working with students with SEND, mental health, or behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the academy.
