Position Overview

Job Title: Technical Publications Engineer – Support Engineering

Location: Flexible working arrangements available. Please consult with your recruiter for specific options.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) for submarine operations, ensuring end users can effectively support, maintain, and operate the submarines.
  • Produce IETPs utilizing technical documentation deliveries through specialized tools to enhance the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) framework.
  • Apply engineering expertise to analyze and interpret technical data, publishing results with tailored tools to bolster the ILS strategy.
  • Perform administrative tasks to uphold accurate technical publication records within the ILS division.
  • Understand and apply the Ministry of Defence guidelines on Technical Publications and the role of the ILS Strategy in supporting development outputs.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Technical acumen with a background in data analysis and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovating new solutions while adhering to established processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Technical Publications sector.

About the Interactive Electronic Technical Publications Team:

This team consists of a skilled group of professionals dedicated to managing the lifecycle of technical publications, from receiving documentation to creating and distributing IETPs. The successful candidate will engage with various internal departments, including Engineering and Project Management, and collaborate with key external stakeholders. The role emphasizes best practices, professional engineering judgment, and initiative in executing technical publication tasks efficiently and effectively.
