School Liaison Officer (West Kent)
Kent County Council is seeking a skilled professional to join its PRU, Inclusion and Attendance Service (PIAS) as a School Liaison Officer.
The successful candidate will be the link officer for a group of allocated primary, secondary, special, and independent schools, providing specialist advice and guidance to improve the school attendance of children and young people in Kent.
This role requires effective communication with parents/carers, young people, and school staff, including headteachers, to balance advice and guidance with professional challenge where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience holding challenging conversations and finding positive outcomes, with a high standard of report writing and attention to detail.
This role involves visiting schools, family homes, and other locations as required, and the successful candidate will be able to travel across a wide geographical area at various times of day in a timely and flexible manner.
