Job Title: Senior SHE Advisor

Morson Talent is working with a leading defence manufacturer to find a Senior SHE Advisor to support the development and deployment of their Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policy, systems and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development, maintenance and deployment of a SHE management system that meets the requirements of Systems Operational Framework and International SHE Standards.
  • Provide competent and comprehensive SHE advice and support to Line Leaders, enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their area of responsibility.
  • Supervise a team of SHE professionals and lead activities associated with improving SHE practice and performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to influence decision making and provide assurance for determining compliance with relevant legal and SHE Management System requirements.
  • Deliver duties to appropriate timescales and to budget, and monitor the effectiveness of SHE processes and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A comprehensive and contemporary technical understanding of safety, health and environmental management standards and practice.
  • An experienced SHE professional with a strong understanding of SHE requirements, internal and external best practice.
  • The ability to influence others to operationalise, integrate and deliver SHE processes, projects and change in a business.
  • Strong analytical thought to resolve issues in complex situations, demonstration of sound commercial awareness during decision making.
  • Effective communication skills to negotiate internally and externally across a range of levels and with high-level sensitivity.
