Senior SHE Advisor Opportunity

Brighten your career with a challenging contract position at BAE - Submarine Solutions (SS) in Barrow-in-Furness.

About the Role

As a Senior SHE Advisor, you will provide expert guidance on Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implementing effective control measures.
  • Developing and delivering SHE training programs to enhance the safety culture within the organisation.
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, reporting findings, and making recommendations for preventing recurrences.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practices in SHE management.
  • Maintaining detailed records of SHE performance and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Supporting project teams in assessing SHE risks during the planning and execution of projects.
  • Ensuring all SHE activities are conducted in accordance with SC and UK EYES ONLY security requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the Defence & Security sector, particularly within the context of submarine solutions.
  • BAE-SHE Associate certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of current SHE legislation and best practices.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and audits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in developing and delivering SHE training programs.
  • Ability to investigate incidents and provide actionable recommendations.
  • SC clearance and eligibility for UK EYES ONLY projects.
