We are seeking a skilled Senior Wordings Specialist to join our Contract Wordings Management team at Liberty Specialty Markets. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with underwriters and claims teams to develop and maintain our General Liability products.
Your primary focus will be on designing and updating our products, engaging with underwriters on contract changes, and assisting in the development of wording review thresholds and criteria. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives and provide technical expertise to other projects as required.
As a Senior Wordings Specialist, you will be responsible for communicating and negotiating with external clients and colleagues to establish and build strong working relationships. You will also attend and contribute to underwriter and claims meetings, business planning, and product and market intelligence gathering.

Key Responsibilities- Design and update General Liability products in collaboration with underwriters and claims teams.
- Engage with underwriters on contract changes and provide technical expertise.
- Develop and maintain wording review thresholds and criteria.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and provide technical expertise to other projects.
- Communicate and negotiate with external clients and colleagues.
- Attend and contribute to underwriter and claims meetings, business planning, and product and market intelligence gathering.
- Experience in drafting and contract review, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of wordings and technical requirements relating to London Market placements of insurance across various classes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively.
