About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner and Townsend. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commissions of varying sizes, including coaching junior staff and allocating roles and responsibilities.
  • Advising clients on feasibility studies, procurement options, and cost planning.
  • Managing the estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting the final cost plan to the client.
  • Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, and compiling the contractual documents.
  • Conducting the role of contract administrator, including dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
  • Interfacing with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Working collaboratively with Turner and Townsend's project management team during project delivery.
  • Leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all accountabilities.
Requirements
  • Chartered status in a relevant profession.
  • Excellent measurement and cost planning expertise, including use of NRM.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and procurement routes.
  • Sound knowledge of various forms of contract (JCT/NEC).
