Senior Cost Manager

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional results for our clients. As a Senior Cost Manager, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this goal.
Main Responsibilities- Manage commissions of varying sizes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of cost management services.
- Coach and mentor junior staff, allocating roles and responsibilities to ensure effective cost management on all projects.
- Advise clients on feasibility studies, procurement options, and cost planning stages.
- Manage estimating and cost planning, presenting final cost plans to clients.
- Conduct contract administration, dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and negotiate final accounts.
- Interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Deliver commissions to the right quality standards, on time, and within budget.
- Develop good relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Work effectively as a member of the cost management team.
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients.
- Manage margin levels on all commissions.
- Chartered status (RICS or similar).
- Good knowledge of construction methods and procurement routes.
- Sound knowledge of various forms of contract (JCT/NEC).
- Excellent measurement and cost planning expertise.
- Commercially astute with negotiation and communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services.
