Nursing Home Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Home Manager to join our team at Amber Mace. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of quality and care are maintained.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, including staff supervision and development.
  • Market the home effectively to increase occupancy levels and attract new residents.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection of new staff members.
  • Support residents in meeting their physical, social, and emotional needs.
  • Ensure the dignity and individuality of each resident is respected and their choices are valued.
  • Work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor staff to create a positive and supportive working environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven management experience in a large nursing home.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in elderly care.
  • Sound knowledge of CQC and Care Standards.
  • Nurse qualified with NMC PIN.
  • RMA/NVQ 5 or equivalent.
