Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Monitoring Administration Assistant to join our Student Administration Team at Bangor University. The successful candidate will work closely with the Monitoring Team to ensure the provision of a flexible and responsive engagement and attendance monitoring system for all students.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators or service standards for the team and assist with the monitoring and reporting of such.
  • Assist with the development of effective collaborative work relationships within Student Services and across the University in order to develop best practice in meeting the needs of the University and its diverse student body.
  • Work with the rest of the Monitoring and Compliance Team to ensure that the University's policies and practices in relation to both Bangor University Regulations and UKVI Regulations are complied with.
  • Take primary responsibility for the maintenance of student files as required for UKVI audit purposes.
  • Assist with the early identification of 'at risk' students and provide support to the other members of the team who will identify the action taken in each case.
Requirements
  • Experience of dealing with queries and providing information to students and academic staff.
  • An understanding of, and the ability to interpret, academic regulations and procedures.
  • An understanding of legislative requirements relating to equality, data protection, UKVI and freedom of information.
  • An understanding of the needs of culturally diverse staff and students.
