Position Overview:
As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with diverse learning needs. This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Providing assistance to students before, during, and after lessons to enhance their educational experience.
  • Facilitating students' understanding and engagement in various tasks.
  • Encouraging a passion for learning among students.
  • Participating actively in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
  • Adhering to safeguarding regulations to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Supporting individual needs, which may involve medical and personal care tasks (training will be provided).
  • Working collaboratively with students on a one-on-one or group basis to promote effective learning.
  • Inspiring and engaging with children who have a range of additional learning requirements.
  • Assisting with personal care needs, including feeding and manual handling (training will be provided).

Employment Details:
This position is offered on an agency basis, with the potential for long-term or temporary-to-permanent arrangements. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, during term time only. Compensation ranges from £95 to £100 per day, depending on experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Experience in a similar educational setting or provision.
  • Background in youth work, mental health support, or social work.
  • Relevant qualifications in psychology or teaching assistance (Level 2 or above preferred).
