Role Overview

In this role, you will be part of our Grid Automation Europe tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. As a Substation Automation Tendering Specialist, you will be responsible for leading tenders from initial request to contract closing and handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tender strategies to achieve market competitiveness, high-quality tenders, and profitable business.
  • Collaborate with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Prepare tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.

Requirements

  • Excellent technical understanding of substation automation, control, and protection solutions.
  • Good knowledge of the grid automation market and its trends.
  • Previous professional experience and a strong track record within a similar business area.
  • Strong understanding and previous experience of tendering and commercial processes.
  • Language skills: Fluency in the local language of the desired job location plus a good level of English is required.
  • Willingness to travel and attend customer meetings, up to 10%.
