Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund and Product Operations Specialist to join our team at Legal & General. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fund and product management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate and verify transaction documents, including completion statements, accounting advice, and funds flow calculations, to ensure accurate and timely asset acquisitions.
  • Direct third-party administrators to acquire assets, ensuring compliance with LGIM RA delegated authority matrix.
  • Perform pre-trade compliance calculations and post-trade compliance activities, including instruction of payment of SDLT.
  • Coordinate with accounting and tax teams to complete financial and operational aspects of Common Standard Property Enquiry requests.
  • Respond to vendor KYC requests, providing verified fund and LGIM structure charts and other relevant fund information.
  • Act on instruction from the financial management function and the product and operations lead to open fund bank accounts and set up fund special purpose vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Background in accounting or operations, pursuing an accountancy qualification.
  • Operational knowledge or experience relevant to the role, such as experience of private markets funds, fund accounting, processes, and transactions.
  • Experience of operations and finance in alternative/real asset investment funds environment beneficial.
  • Understanding of typical structuring of alternative/real assets funds preferred.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking approach to tasks, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and independent thinking.
