Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a skilled Credit Controller to manage the debts of the business, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, and resolving account queries.
Key Responsibilities:- Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
- Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness.
- Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms.
- Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries.
- Provide accurate advice on billing queries.
- Undertake account reconciliations.
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met.
- Send out monthly client statements/letters as may be agreed.
- Develop the role to reduce debtor days.
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
- Good understanding of credit control procedures and principles.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software.
- Opportunity to work within a dynamic finance team.
