The Role
We are seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our team in Kirkham on a permanent contract. As a Machine Operator, you will work on fast-paced production lines, making products to meet the required standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating Machinery
- Completing intervention clean-downs using chemicals and following standard operating procedures
- Maintaining your workstation while ensuring the quality and presentation of products meet the required standards
- Filling in record sheets correctly and on time
- Communicating effectively with team members and directing them as needed
- Implementing staff rotation plans and working closely with the Line Leader
- Using M3 (Movex) and Insata to input data
- Monitoring equipment during operations and ensuring it is working properly
- Performing basic production equipment operation, completing safety checks, and achieving production standards
- Understanding product specifications and utilizing them
- Showing an active interest in line efficiency and performance
Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who is level-headed and a logical thinker. Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a production facility is advantageous but not required. You must be able to work under pressure, be computer literate, and have a 'can-do' attitude. The ability to take instruction and work on your own initiative is essential. This is a physically demanding job, and you must be able to lift heavy objects up to 15 kg.
