Assistant Project Manager (Innovation)

We are seeking two highly skilled Assistant Project Managers (Innovation) to join our team at Northern Gas Networks (NGN). As a key member of our innovation team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with internal and external governance protocols in the delivery of our innovation portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business cases for potential innovation projects, ensuring alignment with NGN and regulatory governance requirements.
  • Manage and deliver innovation projects, maintaining stakeholder relationships and monitoring financial performance.
  • Provide regular reporting of project progress to sponsors and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of closure reports and benefits assessments.
  • Support the Innovation Manager in delivering key regulatory submissions and conferences.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
  • Flexible approach to working across broad topic areas and meeting tight timescales.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of the gas industry, including technical and regulatory knowledge.
  • Ability to deliver a portfolio of diverse projects with knowledge of legislation, policies, and budget management.

  • A competitive starting salary of £32,792 based on experience.
  • Up to 5% bonus (dependent upon achievement of set targets).
