Assistant Project Manager

Savills is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Northern Building Consultancy & Project Management team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Project Director and contributing to the delivery of new build projects in the industrial and logistics, student and residential sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of fee proposals and support the pitching process to existing and new clients.
  • Participate in upfront project briefing stages, developing a deep understanding of technical briefs and providing recommendations for the right professional team.
  • Contribute to the provision of outline technical recommendations and strategic advice at the outset of projects.
  • Support clients in strategic planning, including advising on overall approach, team, procurement routes, design management, project opportunities, key risks, and mitigation.
  • Develop and manage project programs.
  • Demonstrate a driven attitude, with a desire to pursue long-term relationships within the business and sector.
  • Support the delivery of new build projects at a strategic level, ensuring the client's brief is delivered and time, quality, and cost parameters are met.
  • Represent Savills and the Building & Project Consultancy (BPC) team, embodying our values.
Requirements
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to forge strong relationships with peers and clients.
  • A team player, willing to support colleagues, address issues, and contribute to team goals.
  • MRICS qualified or equivalent, or working towards.
  • Project management, engineering, design, or cost management qualifications also considered.
  • Track record of delivering successful projects as a project manager.
  • Vision and ability to develop complex strategies and solutions.
  • Ability to present project strategy and approach as part of a pitch team.
  • Ability to support lead PMs from inception to completion, working across multiple projects.
About the Team

The Northern Building Consultancy & Project Management team is a fast-paced and friendly team of 33, consisting of 12 Directors, 4 Associate Directors, 4 Associates, 2 Senior Building Surveyors/Project Managers, 5 Graduates, 1 Apprentice, and 4 Team Secretaries across our Leeds, Manchester, and Newcastle office locations.

Our highly motivated, sociable, driven, and extremely supportive team is looking for someone with a Building Surveying or Project Management background to join them immediately to work on a range of projects within the new build sector.
