Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Field Service Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance of various machine tools across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel Requirements: The position involves significant travel to client sites for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of machine tools.
  • On-Site Services: Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on a diverse range of machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently.
  • Facility Work: When not on-site, you will work in our facility, performing assembly, disassembly, and servicing of machinery components.
  • Maintenance Duties: Carry out routine maintenance to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide outstanding customer service by effectively communicating with clients, understanding their requirements, and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, parts utilized, and any further recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Apprenticeship trained, HNC, HND, or a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in machine tool technology or maintenance are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in servicing and maintaining machine tools.
  • Experience in assembling various types of gearboxes and performing precision tasks.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in electrical fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Comfortable working in diverse environments, including industrial settings.
Additional Requirements
  • Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance to our facility.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
