Lead Database Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Database Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Workonblockchain. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating our database technologies to meet the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and implement database architectures to support business growth and innovation.
  2. Lead the development and maintenance of database infrastructure, including configuration, security, and performance tuning.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services.
  4. Develop and implement processes for incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
  5. Coach and mentor junior engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in database administration, including Oracle RDBMS, Oracle on Amazon EC2, and MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of release processes and deployment cycles, including experience with tools like Terraform and Concourse.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS and Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
