About Our Organization

We are currently seeking a Strategic Planning Consultant to join our team in Aberdeen on a 12-month contract, with potential for extension. The primary role involves contributing to the establishment and oversight of strategic directives and guidelines, supervising and coordinating the necessary studies and analyses to formulate medium and long-term strategic plans for the organization, while also monitoring these plans and providing insights from environmental and competitive analyses. The individual will develop and support Global Planning Processes in collaboration with the Regional Unit and Headquarters concerning Long Range Plans, Reserve Closures, and Impairment Testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist management in defining the strategic vision and key action lines, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Consolidate and analyze strategic plans, preparing necessary documentation for submission and approval.
- Support management in monitoring the execution of the Strategic Plan, Reserve Closures, and Impairment Testing.
- Facilitate the definition of unit objectives, ensuring consistency with overall strategy and inter-unit alignment.
- Assist in analyzing the business portfolio, identifying growth opportunities, and restructuring initiatives.
- Maintain portfolio management tools and ensure accurate and updated portfolio descriptions.
- Conduct economic analyses and evaluations of investment and business development proposals, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and conducting follow-ups.
- Support the Investment Approval process and associated tools in collaboration with relevant areas and units.
- Prepare periodic reports (annual reports, fact books, etc.) in coordination with all involved departments and conduct necessary studies.
- Generate reports on environmental monitoring, competition, and market analysis, assessing their implications for the competitive positioning of the organization and corporate development activities.
- Develop and maintain databases and management reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in Planning, Performance, or technical roles within the Energy Sector.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven with the ability to complete tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of managing effectively in a client-focused environment.
