Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Versatile Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our esteemed manufacturing client located in the West Yorkshire region.

Compensation:
£48,004

Work Location:
West Yorkshire

Working Hours:
Continental shift pattern – 2 days, 2 nights

Key Responsibilities of the Versatile Maintenance Technician:
- Deliver both electrical and mechanical assistance to production lines and machinery consistently.
- Initially work day and afternoon shifts to acclimate to the role.
- Maintain a detailed log of activities, including failure reports and planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
- Commit to a continuous improvement strategy to enhance the organization and its workforce.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Engage in fault diagnosis on PLC systems, including Siemens and Mitsubishi.
- Respond to equipment failures promptly to minimize downtime.
- Execute both scheduled and reactive maintenance on various machinery, including shredders, conveyors, large ovens, guillotines, packaging equipment, and inverters.
- Apply general troubleshooting skills for recurring issues.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance is essential.
- Completion of an apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND/ONC/OND, or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in fault finding on PLC systems is necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role is required.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
