About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team in the North of England, primarily based in Manchester and Leeds. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk to maximize business growth and profitability for our allocated broker panel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and assess risk to maximize business growth and profitability for allocated broker panel
  • Consistently apply Travelers Insurance Company Limited (TICL) underwriting principles to underwrite complex accounts and risks
  • Develop and leverage broker/client relationships through high-level visibility and disciplined sales management approach
  • Actively engage and seek out training opportunities to further develop underwriting expertise
  • Provide leadership and coaching to help achieve underwriting, sales, and production goals
Requirements
  • Previous experience of underwriting in Property and Casualty classes of business
  • Thorough knowledge of organisational and regulatory rules, policies, and procedures
  • Intermediate knowledge and ability in respect of Microsoft Office systems, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Full, valid driving license
