Position Overview

The role of Aquatic Safety Supervisor at Exeter Golf and Country Club involves a diverse range of responsibilities, from welcoming members and guests with enthusiasm to overseeing the aquatic team in the swimming facilities and changing areas.

As a Lifeguard Supervisor, your commitment to upholding the highest safety standards and vigilance at the poolside is crucial. You must possess keen attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently.

You will be expected to engage confidently and assertively with individuals of all ages while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. Your duties will encompass monitoring the pools and changing rooms to ensure they meet usage and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications and Experience

- Valid RLSS NPLQ certification is essential
- Pool Plant Operation Level 3 certification is essential
- Flexibility in work hours
- Supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee pool operations in accordance with RLSS guidelines and club policies
- Set a positive example for the team
- Address and learn from member feedback and concerns
- Greet members and visitors warmly at all times
- Ensure plant rooms are maintained in optimal condition
- Conduct regular pool tests and address any issues promptly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness around the pool area
- Collaborate with the line manager to minimize operational disruptions during maintenance
- Report any routine maintenance needs for club equipment
- Prioritize tasks and keep the operations team informed
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by the Head of Swimming
- Arrive for shifts punctually and in appropriate uniform (clean, smart, and presentable at all times)
- Adhere to all established procedures
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance current practices
- Promote equal opportunities through adherence to policies and procedures, ensuring actions align with club standards
- Advocate for products and services available within the club
- Ensure that maintenance work is cost-effective and meets agreed-upon standards
- Possess knowledge of departmental standards
