Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing care for adults with a rare, genetically inherited skin fragility condition.
Main DutiesThe post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and provision of specialist nursing advice and care for patients with EB. This will include:
- Assessing and managing patients with complex medical or life-limiting conditions
- Providing clinical supervision to other staff and students
- Leading clinical audits and research in the specialist area
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- A degree-level qualification in nursing or a related field
- Up-to-date knowledge of either dermatology, tissue viability, end of life care, management of long-term conditions, or community nursing
- Experience managing patients with complex medical or life-limiting conditions
- Effective time management and communication skills
